magnaflow muffler question 12267 vs 14267
on some sites it says the 12267 is stainless steel while the 14267 is polished stainless steel. on other sites the 12267 is said to be aluminized steel and not actually stainless. can someone clarify whether or not the 12267 is in fact stainless steel? thanks. I'm thinking about just dropping one in to replace my 15 year old 127k oem muffler which still looks semi decent but the flanges are starting to fail i think. The rest of my exhaust still looks pretty decent. The factory pipes are stainless right? I talked to USA muffler the other day when they fixed a tick i had from the pass side y pipe being loose and they said if i brought one in they'd install it. i didn't think to ask how much it would cost. any idea how much an exhaust shop would cost to install the muffler? i can get the 12267 for $97 and the 14267 for $133
this supposedly is a 95 T/A with a stock catback with the magnaflow muffler. I still have my factory cat and have to run emissions but i'm guessing i wouldn't have any problems passing by just replacing the muffler.

i believe the factory pipes are aluminized steel, someone feel free to correct me. dont know about the different part numbers. you should pay no more than 30-35 for a muffler install. as long as it is the direct replacement all it is to install it 3 cuts and welds. and the muffler will not effect your emissions. nothing after the cat will

I believe the muffler is a direct swap other than the fact that its a 3 inch in and 2.5 out and the stock one is 2.75 in and 2.5 out so they will have to probably weld the 3 to the 2.75 but those 2 part numbers are shown as direct replacements for a 93-02 fbody on magnaflow.com
