Sorry to hear this Stealth. Like I have said a million times over on here, Eagle for the most part is garbage. Too many horror stories with this company.

I know thers allot of eagle horror stories but if the crank ate it on a normal drive in low rpms then I'd have to question the prep & install work, especially if hes only got an LE1 set up and under 2000miles on the crank.

I've heard that the Eagle cast stuff was chinese junk..I've always steered clear of the cast ones and used the Stock GM stuff over it.
I'm using an Eagle 4340 Forged 4.000" Crank in my current build, and I've never had any problems with it. Then again I do have the whole Rotating Assembly balanced to the thenth of a gram and it's just a Pump Gas Engine so that may be a factor.

What other cranks would be better than the eagle crank? I know Lunati makes a good one!

my eagle crank sucked. i had the balancer problem. i caught it early and bought a keyed snout.

i also had to make my own pilot bushing, because eagle doesnt know how to machine the hole in the back of the crank so it doesnt just fall right out.

although, nothing has broke YET, it has caused me extra money and frustration. i will never buy another eagle product.

btw, i am running a FORGED eagle crank and eagle H-beams (383)

Man..it must be a problem with the LT1 stuff..I'm not saying that the LS types have had no issues..but I've seen it more here than the LS side..

I've had a Scat cast crank and Eagle forged H-beam rods in my 383 for at least 10k miles. Never had a problem so far. Knock on wood...It was built 5yrs ago, maybe.

Not sure why you would buy an aftermarket cast crank. Just makes no sense to me.
