My build is startin early then i suspected. I came across a stock shortblock a few days ago. It will be dropped off at the machine shop monday.. I placed my order for my cam from llyod wed. as well. Its gona be a 234/238 612/612 with a 111lsa.. the motor gona be a 355 with speedpro forged pistons and scat forged Ibeam rods.. on a stock crank. Topping it off with the new trickflow heads. What do you guys think.. i cant wait to get this thing done..

Static compression is only part of the question, dynamic compression also needs to be considered.
With a donkey dick cam like that you could run 12:1 static and still be ok. Of course you would want a conservative timning curve in the tune.
Jmo of course. Talk to lloyd about it, he will steer you right.

Sounds almost exactly like my cam, 236/242 .612/.612 110+4. Gonna run them on a 383 with SRP pistons, Dragonslayer Cam, Lunati Rods and TFS 195cc heads that have been ported and flow 330 at .600 lift. Should make good power. LOL
