My build is startin early then i suspected. I came across a stock shortblock a few days ago. It will be dropped off at the machine shop monday.. I placed my order for my cam from llyod wed. as well. Its gona be a 234/238 612/612 with a 111lsa.. the motor gona be a 355 with speedpro forged pistons and scat forged Ibeam rods.. on a stock crank. Topping it off with the new trickflow heads. Did Lloyd happen to mention what kind of rpms you will be looking at with that cam? I'm wondering where it might peak at. Thanks

Static compression is only part of the question, dynamic compression also needs to be considered.

With a donkey dick cam like that you could run 12:1 static and still be ok. Of course you would want a conservative timning curve in the tune.

Jmo of course. Talk to lloyd about it, he will steer you right.

Sounds almost exactly like my cam, 236/242 .612/.612 110+4. Gonna run them on a 383 with SRP pistons, Dragonslayer Cam, Lunati Rods and TFS 195cc heads that have been ported and flow 330 at .600 lift. Should make good power. LOL
