Default In the middle of fuel pump install help!!!!

Im halfway through installing my walbro fuel pump and does it use the stock bucket?

Because the screen that came with it does not fit the bottom of the bottom of the bucket, should I just clamp the pump to the metal bracket with the rubber condom thing that came on the factory pump and just leave the 2 hoses that go to the bucket alone.

Also Im guessing I have to splice the connector that came with the pump to the factory connector harness. I bought the pump kit for the LT1 from Heavy 6.0 a sponsor on here.

Yes, im also doing the racetronix harness also after.

Thanks guys.

That way you'll cut the hell out of your hand getting to the Connectors..here's a better way..

As far as the Screen goes.. Mine fit to the bottom of the Bucket so maybe your is a tight fit. When I bought mine it came with a little bit of wiring and it plugged directly in..so I don't know what you have to work with.

Here's a pic of mine.. I couldn't find any Epoxy so I had to band-clamp it. It works well..

I got it in, just had to buy a longer length hose and modify the end of the bucket a bit.

I know you already got it working, but for what it's worth - fuel stays in that bucket and helps keep the fuel pump cool and from overheating. I asked the same question on another site and was given "Do you want to burn the pump or help it last longer?" as the response LOL
