Default C16 Fuel Question

Would it be safe to run in my car ? its fully rebuilt and has an Ion tune on it. would i run the risk of damaging anything like O2 sensors or anything like that if i ran some? thanks

leaded fuel is bad for them and catalytic converters. if you dont mind replacing O2s shortly after then knock your socks off.

Waste of money IMO

FYI - You will need an open loop tune if you want to run leaded fuel

its a 94 so would i not have to worry about it open loop because its OBDI ? my friend who gave me some for free said it wasnt leaded. i made sure to find out because i know leaded fuel ruins O2's

No. you must mean that OBD-1 does not have rear o2's (which is correct). It still has fronts which would be ruined and cause the car to run poorly. Any competent tuner can tune your car in open loop, so you can remove the front o2's.

To be honest, I'm not sure if C16 is leaded or not. But there is also the possibility that it is not sensor safe due to other contents

I wouldn't run it. I think that you would be faster on pump gas. Something like C-11 might pick you up a little. Be prepared to replace your O2's.

no need especially if not tuned for it

We use Denso 02's and they seem to have a pretty good life with leaded fuel. They have been in my car for awhile and my brothers Lsx car for 4 years with leaded and unleaded fuels.

C16 should only be used with 15+lbs of boost or a 200+ shot of nitrous. Don't use any race gas unless you need it (detonation problems).
