Those are the numbers I'd expect for a LE1/CC306 car, proven 400rwhp combo. Hopefully we can get a graph on here.

Makes me want to keep my CC306 and send another set of heads to Lloyd.

Moe what's your location?

i wonder what the #s would be through an auto and 9"

would there be much of a difference in #s if it was a 383 instead of a 355?

^^^Agreed. The only time you'll see much difference in power from a 350 to a 355 ci (all other variables the same of course) is if the 355 has a rotating assy that weighs the same or less. Even then, likely less 5hp or less between the two. This is especially true with small valve heads such as the LE1s.

what benefits are there of a 355 build then? Just the fact that it's sturdier?

It's been done plenty of times on a 350 with similar results. Check out CamaroZ28.com. It's funny, new things on here are years old on there

Yep it was me!!!! Before the dynotune I had it mail tuned and only made 377rwhp and 349lbs of torque. Here is one of the graphs this was the 402rwhp sae 386lbs of torque sae one though. I never took the picture of the 403 sae rwhp. Sorry about the picture I should have taken it closer. Remember this is a 355 with a 306cc cam through a 9" with some huge 315's out back.

The motor is 90% complete, Clark is going to start changing out the wiring harness and put the motor on the new tubular K-member and start putting her together.

Yes.

Most of the time, a 355 is built because the factory bottom end is worn. The .030 over-bore is more of a neccesity when rebuilding rather than a performace-enhancing mod. While you're in there, might as well add forged pistons+rods and good bearings to make it sturdier.

depends on compression ratios between the two as well

depends on the transmission, if you're talking 4L60e with a convertor that isn't ridiculously loose, I'd imagine prolly somewhere in the 380s

True! But lets just say with a stock CR, it would be very close or make a tad more on the stock short block assuming the 355 isnt all light weight parts also

Tell me about it, my Steet Twin clutch robbed 8.5 hp since its 20lb heavier than a single disc clutch. No worries though since it did go faster.
