lt4 hot cam

on a stock 94 z28 how much hp can i expect to get from a lt4 hot cam?

I have cc305 220/230 112, its close to hot cam made 308 to rear wheels,some say should have made more but thats what I got. mods in sig.

I made 335/335 with my old Hot Cam Engine, that was through the Auto at the time.

If you don't have any bolts on maybe 20 rwhp. I did mine *** backwards. I put in the cam and rr's before I did a cai or headers. When I did get around to the bolt on's. WOW!!!!!! It was like I had a whole new car! Amazing the difference it made! Hotcam is a good choice if you want to make more power in an easy kit with out breaking the bank. You can find them everywhere in the classifieds here. Where I got mine.

ya, i hear good things from the people who have actually ran a hotcam, but some not so good things about the springs retainers etc. that come with the kit

Running Merv's old motor with some dual cranes. Makes 353/351 through the T56, might even be doing better now with the new exhaust. The duals I had made were pretty ghetto.

I just wish I knew what this funny little dip is I have around 6k, SA pro comps don't like being spun that high or something? Maybe a pushrod issue? I shift it around 5700 or so. Ah well I love it, putting around town I don't spin it past 2500, plenty of low end grunt.

I never noticed a dip and we ran it to 6300 on the Dyno, maybe it's them Rockers..

its an alright cam. Its not for everyone. some people love it, others hate it. Depends on the direction you wanna go with your car. Your not gonna be setting any speed records with it, but it does give a decent gain over a stock cam. IMO it sounds great also
