That's just like asking what throttle body or longtubes make the most power. The answer is no one particular part is going to "make" your power. It's a combination of everything that is suited for that specific application. There are no magic cams or magic parts that make more power, it's having everything working together toward one specific goal.
Once people understand this the fights will end. People want things to be easy, like if I buy these certain items my car will make the most power. But the people here or anywhere who are fast, arent fast because they have magical parts, it's because they spent alot of time and research getting their setup dialed in for exactly what they need. Which brings up the next problem, folks not knowing what they want...
If I can use mdacton if he doesnt mind. That guy puts in alot of seat time and track time getting his stuff dialed in. That is why he ran 11's with a CC306 and 10's with ported stock heads. He knows what he wants to accomplish and he takes the steps to get there.

It's always done well, just for some reason the LT1 section here got some kinda of secret squirrel message that smaller cams run better times and make more power than larger cams. Years back guys were making 430rwhp with a 355 with a CC306 and GTP ported heads, but you wont find that info on LS1tech. Now there is a point where the cam becomes too large, but for folks who arent afraid of the red paint on the dash, the CC306 will run good.
