Could this be my problem?

I took off my opti and stripped it apart to find out whats wrong. the MSD cap and rotor have aobut 5k miles on them and there brand new still. however when i took it apart more i found this.....

my new opti should be here soon. im hoping the moisture that caused that F'ed up the sensor thus causing my problems..

Should i reuse my MSD cap and rotor ? or should i just leave the new (non vented) opti alone ? what do you guys think

lol! Id say that could be the prob. Id reuse the MSD stuff and seal it really good this time.

i had actually sealed the entire opti with high heat silicone when i did it. that plate was rusty from along time ago

i was stupid for not changing it out when i did my engine
