Question water pump question..

can you plug all of those outlets on the housing, those 90* tubes? if so how do you go about this? im not talking about the rubber caps..im talking about removing the whole dam tube itself, im assuming there isnt an alternative to welding them shut.

Each pipe is press-fit into the housing and will be difficult to remove. If you want them gone though, just cut them off flush (I'm assuming you're talking about the heater core pipes, the rest are needed) and plug them. Or you can run a length of hose between them to let the coolant loop.

i only need the two on the pass side, my LT1 is carbed, and i have no oil cooler, after i pull them out, what are the options on plugging them?

You could thread and put in pipe plugs or maybe just use freeze plugs. You can twist, then pull out the pipes.

those pipes were damaged on a firends car (now mine) so he plugged them up but the car kept overheating (no leaks). he then looped the two with some extra hose and AN fittings and it stopped overheating. it might be a huge coincidence but it is something to consider before just cutting them off.

I crimped mine shut then welded the ends. I also have a carbed LT1, no over heating problems. I have an extra water pump i plan on removing the tubes and putting in freeze plugs. Ill let u know how it works out.
