LT1-LT4 Modifications 1993-97 Gen II Small Block V8

Anybody using the edelbrock long tubes?

Default Anybody using the edelbrock long tubes?

BEEN WAITING ON LPP AND IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE COMING AROUND ANY TIME SOON, SO I HAVE TO DECIDE WHETHER TO KEEP OR REPLACE MY HEADERS. DOES ANYONE HAVE, INSTALLED, A SET OF EDELBROCK LT1 LONG TUBE VICTOR RACE HEADERS AS IN THIS LINK

HOW MUCH OF AN INCREASE WOULD YOU EXPECT FROM A 416 CUBE LT1 IN COMPARISON TO MY HOOKER LONG TUBES?
PICS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED OF HOW THEY INSTALLED AND IF ANY PROBLEMS!

Dude. Turn the caps off.

Didn't know Edelbrock made LT1 headers. Plug access looks like crap, but otherwise look good. Not a fan of removable parts. If you are dropping that much cash, I would personally get the Kooks for a bit more instead. Other than their shorties, Edelbrock hasn't been to appealing to the LT1 crowd.

remind me of the old dynatechs

honestly just pick up a set of pacesetters or similarily priced used ones. I think some people have had success with some of the ebay stainless steel headers, not sure which though

There are a lot of proven headers out there for a lot less and no welding required

I think i have decided that i am going to use the 1 3/4 headers. For what it is worth i want the car to perform but i dont think there will be that much difference in the step 1 3/4 - 1 7/8 header to justify getting rid of my hookers, although i would not mind a set of stainless or coated headers these rusty hookers sure do look uuugly. Maybe i will try the ebay headers, don't have very much to loose there!

Ive had my pacesetters for about 2 years now, they look just like new.

Just get yours coated by jet hot. you will never have to worry about rust again
