Went to the Newton Iowa Speedway today for the 1/8th mile track. The track was cold, and I am on shitty 275/40/17 Sumitomo tires, so spinning was crazy. I literally spun and sat sideways til about 60mph
Ink seemed to be kind of low on the slips, so hard to see. Will upload pics later.
Mods in sig
Best ET
(feathered it out of the hole, and then mashed on it)
1/8th: 8.85
75.88mph
.508 reaction time (terrible, first time at the strip)
60 ft: 1.925
330ft: 5.647
Stall Launch Slip (I launched at about ~3500rpm) CRAZY BAD SPINNING. terrible 60ft because of it
ET: 9.532
79.08mph
Reaction time: .189
2.537 60ft
Next mod will definitely be some drag radials! lol

Yes some DR's would help alot!
I will guess that with some good DR's like M/T et street radials and some LCA's and/or brackets you will see 60' times between 1.65-1.70' which will greatly improve your 1/8 mile times.
Your mph seems a little low, I trapped that and a tad higher when I was bone stock. However, I would get some tires and go back out and see what it does, should do alot better!

But yeah I forgot to mention that it feels like my fuel is cutting out a little after 60mph..
![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
Alot of my money is tied up into investments, so whatever I spend on the car now is money I make part-time (which is minimal now that I'm in college)
Everybody was spinning terribly.. I'm not sure if the sensors are off.. my buddy with a fully built ls1 (prc 2.5 heads/ms3 cam, full bolt-ons, intake) and same SHITTY tires ran a best ET 8.7 @ 84-86mph? or something around there.. He was spinning bad too but I felt like I was spinning terribly
Cam/full bolt on LS1's were running 8.8-9.1 which isn't right in my book.
Hopefully when I go in spring I will run a much better time with the additional mods, tires, and tune. I thought my MPH was low though too. So thanks for the comments guys

my first time at the 8th i ran a 8.78 with a 1.8 60ft at 77mph that was with a 3000stall catback, 3.42 gears and CAI with pcm4less tune... so your mph looks a little off but i dont kno what the DA is where your at i know that makes a difference..
after i put my cam kit in from Ai i went to the track and ran 8.6 at 84mph with a shitty 2.3 60ft i was spinning pretty bad but i still gained 7mph with that horrible 60ft

Yeah, like I was.. was the first time legitimately at a drag strip. Hooking was terrible for alot of people out there. Cold track is definitely not as traction friendly as a warmed up one.
Reaction time got consistently better with each run... I think I got it down to about a .108.. still working on it though.
My Sumitomo's did the car no justice.. people on the sidelines were like "Jesus, get some DR's!!!" when I walked over to get my slips before the next couple of runs.
Will work on the car more this spring. And AChotrod, I've always been jealous of your beast
