Default Removing engine...

So I'm pulling the LT1 to finish my weight reduction of the wiring harness and rerouting it down the frame rails. Any tips or advice while the motor is out? I plan on doing my poly mounts, going back with LT headers, no egr, revised PCV and no evap. Also on the list if re-routing the fuel lines and moving the PCM inside the car. While the engine is out im going to examine acouple bearings(150K+ on engine) and makes sure all the oil leakes are fixed.

get rid of everything that you dont need/want anymore. I just did mine and the only real thing left in there is the motor, line lock/proportioning valve, and strut tower brace. I cut a lot of stuff out including the rubber mounts at the front that aid in holding the hood up (every little bit adds up), sway bar is gone including the mounts, air pump, all the egr crap, a/c delete pulley removed and alternator relocated down to that position, all the a/c and heater lines the box and condenser, the wiper fluid bottle, radiator overflow bottle(upgraded to a smaller less volume version), crash bar and support, and also cut off the extra metal behind the plastic fenders. Takes time to do but IMO well worth it all. Let me know if you need pics of anything.

Guess I shoulda mentioned I have already taken out:

Cruise control
every AIR piece
Washer fluild jug
power steering
all AC pieces
swaybar and brackets

I mainly wanna finish the wiring under the hood to match the inside the car and just reroute everything. maybe even paint the underhood area black.

Looks good, I think I wanna do under the hood a flat or semi flat black along with the inside the car. I eventually wanna paint the car blue or red and dont want the green showing.

Who makes those valve covers? I want some like that?
