i thought the 306 was great with stock heads, id recommend some pac 1218 or 1518 springs with it. with an m6 id recommend at the very minimum a 4.10 gear, 4.56 would be great.

any aftermarket cam is gonna want at MINIMUM new springs capable of handling the lift

cc503 is great with stock heads and the cc306 is another proven performer. both will be fairly comprable with the cc503 being more optimal for stock heads/cubes as far as powerband goes but the nice thing about the cc306 is if you decide to add heads later it'll only get better

not a big fan of the xfi stuff, there's some decent grinds in there but haven't seen anything amazing come out of them except comments about how they can pretty abusive to a valve train.

my personal recommendation though would be to get in touch with a custom cam grinder like Lloyd Elliot (http://www.elliottsportworks.com) he'll get a cam custom tailored to your needs, goals, and give plenty of great advice on complimenting parts.
