Many of us have info posted everywhere..

Mine didn't cost that much and went in pretty easily. IMO it kicks the **** out of any elbow CAI.

ya overall it looks cheaper, but a lil harder to do. thats if you dont do any work yourself and this is the first thing you ever attempt. But i plan on ditching my K&N CAI and going to LS1 lid

For the money, there is not a single mod that compares to the lid conversion!
i have a grand total of 60.00 in my lid conversion and about 45 min of fab work...hell the SLP cai takes longer to instal

50 bucks here. Found a used lid and filter in the classifieds.

Takes about 20 mins to do with a die grinder and cutoff wheel.

You also need a 3x3 Fernco from Home Depot etc.

Hey greg you got any pics of yours? I might do this mod this winter? Not sure if there will be any gains over my homemade CAI?

i had a homemade cai that worked well, then i got a used K&N sold it to get a lid but had to instal a moroso for a short time what crap that was..finally got my lid done the car picked up 1.8mph and 2 tenths swap done at the track same day 3 passes each between the moroso and the lid...Lid all the way

there will be a few that doubt the actual performance gains since it was not done on a dyno but personally a dyno cannot duplicate 80+mph of air flowing to the TB.......so their argument becomes a mute statement.. Roadtrip,Merv, myself as well as a bunch others have all had similar gains

All used parts and several hours of work total = 40$. I found an SLP lid and K&N filter in a junked car.
