Sounds like you have a few leads.

A engine with a cam that big, will not run properly on a stock tune.
Shaking and stalling at low RPM is pretty common.

Arcing could definitely contribute to a shaking.
Crossed wires sometimes also cause a backfire.

I put a slightly larger cam in my 383 and had similar issues until Ed was able to get me a proper tune.

OK, found some new problems/solutions.

All plug wires are right. The vibration is not in the rotating assembly. The balancer is true and does not wobble, as does the flywheel. Replacing the coil wire did not make a difference.

Now onto the new problems. The fuel pressure on start up is around 40 PSI, when revved, it will DROP to around 36 at 2400. We did not rev it higher due to the fact we don't want it to run too lean. BUT when I removed the plugs, they are BLACK and seem to be running rich.

My next steps are to replace the coil, ICM and possibly opti to see if those are the reason for maybe it having a weak spark.

But with the pressure DROPPING, could that be the signs of a bad FPR or pump? The pump is a 255 LPH unit that has been in it since I bought the car.
