Question Optispark electrical connector

Guys, I am putting my engine back together, and while trying to install the electrical conector to the opti, it would not fit. There is a connector coming from the passenger side harness with a blue rippled seal, and as much as I have tried, it just won't slide in. I tried using electrical grease but it won't go on.

Have I missed something here? Did I remove a double end connector wire that goes to the opti and have to look for it amongst the parts?

The 4 pin electrical connector that goes into the opti, when looking at the opti towards the cap, its on the left top side.

Default Yeah, I had this problem too...

With mine, the issue was the cap didn't quite fit correctly - there was a lip of about 1/64th of an inch which didn't allow that 4-pin connector to seat.

My "solution" (if I recall properly) was to loosen the cap, seat the connector, tighten cap, then install the Opti and 2 foot jumper together (as a unit) onto the front of the engine.

It can be done!

I combed the car, and found the opti cable. It seems I had removed it during disassembly of the engine and had left it inisde the car. Fit like a glove, and I am only an evenings work of cranking the engine over to life.

I still need to put the exhaust together, I don't want to run it open headers and get in trouble with my neighbors lol
