fuel pressure regulator?

hi my car doesnt want to run right its a 94 z28 and im just about out of ideas it seems too idle fine but when i rev it up or put it in gear it falls on its face....just replaced opti,fuel filter,plugs and wires and new fuel pump. ignition moduel and i checked the fuel pressure after i put the new pump in and it reads with the key on 40psi and 38-40psi at idle and when i reved it up it sparatically changes goes up to 50psi and then starts to bog out and hitting even 20psi.... so new pump gone bad or possibly regulator? thanks

I'm leaning toward the Pump there..could be the Regulator, but when that goes out it usually has a problem starting..

Check the regulator by pulling off the vacuum line off of the regulator. If there's gas or a gas smell it's leaky.
