Default 93 Camaro z28 PCM

My car is in the shop and apparently this is the reason it has been acting up, but the shop says they can not find a replacement PCM. Does anyone have any idea where I can get one from besides trying to find one in a junk yard?

Is it the whole unit or just the EPROM chip?

I got my replacement from NAPA. It works just fine, had it for about 6 years now:

I am 99.9% sure you are not gonna fine a NOS/OEM ECM now. Almost all are going to be Remanufactured. A junkyard one would be taking a chance.

Now the EPROM may be harder to get. I bought a spare about 6 years ago when the ECM took a dump. I got the EPROM from a dealr and it was a "special order" but only cost about 60 bucks.

Sounds to me like they're just taking your money. Our PCMs are very hearty and very rarely go bad. Lots of shops are quick to blame it on the PCM because it's a "universal part."
