If you mean when you install the new wires in the loom behind the PS pump, there's only one sure-fire way that I know of......The factory shop manual says "remove the PS pump". I did it once with the pump in place, and damaged a wire. I took the pump off, and while it was a bit annoying to pull the pump, it made the wire R&R a breeze.
