Awesome times for a small motor in a big car, looks like old Lloyd Elliott is doing something right with these LT1 heads. Are you leaving on n2o b/c you have alot top gain in the 60'. Spray another 50HP and youll be in the 10's. Later Clint

Good times, nice looking car. At what rpm does the nitrous come on? Also, what converter do you have and have you ever tried just leaving from idle and flashing it?

Running a Harris Speedworks wet kit with 62 nitrous and 35 fuel jets and 1200 psi bottle pressure. Bring nitrous in off the line. Was stalling to 2700. PTC 10" lockup converter 3500 stall and tight as hell. Have window switch set at 3000 and 6600 and coming through the traps at 6700 with 4.10 gears. Loving the GM847 and it likes nitrous

Where did you get the GM847 cam at?? I've been looking for along time now and can't seem to find it I'm building my car this winter. So any help on where to find it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just jet up to 73N 41F and set your n2o rpm switch a little lower like 2500rpms, then stall it up to 2000rpms and let it eat. I bet your 60' would go down to low 1.5's and 10's in the 1/4 too. Give it a shot, I bet it works. What gear and tire size?

very nice results for the combo !

I would suggest some more air in the tires as well. They look to be far toO wrinkled and the car moving around on them down low.

I lucked into the 847. Found it here for sale one night new. Bought it on the spot. As for tire pressure I did need more air in them but had trouble getting the QA1's adjusted properly. With a cast crank and sir rods I think 150 shot is all its going to see. And with distribution problems with the LT1 intake I think I will leave the shot alone. Tire size is 28/10.5/15 MT slick stiff walls and 4.10 gear

Yes we needed a little more air pressure in the tires, but we were having trouble hooking the 150 shot from a 27-2800 brake stall. Thats why we lowered the tires down so low to try and make it hook and it worked but dang those slicks are wrinkled lol. That last 11.23 pass had 10psi of air pressure if memory serves me correct. The 11.19 pass had 12psi tire pressure. I believe with some more suspension tuning to make it hook harder and figuring out the launch technique this car likes should give us a tenth or so ET but we got it lined out pretty darn good within a few track passes, so I'm tickled with the results!

I also believe that a 3.73 gear would help this car out on the jug because it was cranking some RPM's crossing the traps. I think bringing the RPM's down some at the top of 3rd will give us some more top end and possibly get the car trapping in the 120's. I also believe it will help the car hook up easier and pull better 60's because it's just chapping the tires right now where it's gear'd so low.

Leave the gears alone, work on the supension, and leave from idle. B-bodies with stock style suspensions without a transbrake do not like to be brake torqued. We need all the suspension action and weight transfer we can get with these long wheelbase cars.
Nice runs, Frank! It will only get better
