Its very simple to drop the tranny. Took me little under 2 hours to take it out and im no expert by any means. So someone who has been working with cars should have no problem! Sorry to hear about the tranny man =\

Default **********update***************

Took the console out of the car and got down in the shifter turns out the bottom bolt from the shifter fell down in between the gears which explains why the shifter was stuck.

I knew a tranny just doesnt stick in gear like that so I had to look. The car still wouldnt go into 4th so I took the car to my buddy Jason at Texas Drivetrain Performance. The reason 4th gear was fucked up is the main shaft was grounded off at the end from wear and tear also the teeth on the synchro were burred. He went ahead and rebuilt it for me replacing all new parts and making it strong.

He did an excellent job car power shifts great and it is a whole lot more fun to drive on highway.

I am taking it to Waco after the holidays (Moe Bailey and Nitro Dave)) cough cough

Thats good you got it taken care of.
The only other think I can think happened to mine is I changed back to the Pro 5.0 stick after having issues with a short angled stick, and I never re-adjusted the stops. Its been to cold and Im to lazy to go look at it. lol.
FLT had mine apart right b4 the shootout last year and everything was mint. Well except the output shaft was snapped in half. Car has barely had any passes or hard miles since then.

Damn . It takes lots of power to snap an output shaft. I was gonna put one stronger than a viper in mine but Jason said I would be wasting money. A stock output shaft is good unless you are makin over 700 rwtq and constant track clutch dumps at 5k plus. Mine is mainly a street car that sees track duty maybe 4 times a yr.

Watch that new synthetic fluid too, not all it's made out to be.
