So basically it's all egr parts and the air pump plus all hoses that connect to it that get removed? Plus the exhaust ****.

Opti only gets vacuum from the intake elbow. It doesnt get air from the AIR Pump.

wait isnt there two hoses that hook up to the opti?
what are those two?

There are two of them to actually purge the air through. Thats why it is called a vented opti. One goes to vacuum port on intake. (sucking) One comes from intake bellow. (pushing)

FYI Texas will allow 2 not readys on 2000 and below OBD2 I believe. 2000+ allows 1 not ready.
