Default my setup

hi yall i had a question about my setup... i recently lower my gear ratio in my rear to 323 (stock) for better street ability because i also putt in a th350 so i had to compensate for the lack off overdrive... now i also have a 3400 stall... i was curious what yall think a safe cruising rpm is for lt1? ive been cruising it at 2400 and was wondering if i could go higher? and was also curious if my cruising speed is at 55 at 2400 well i thought i would be able to cruze a little faster than that but could my rpm's be a little high because my converter is not locking up while im cruising? thank you for any help in advance

you went to the 4.10 from the 3.23? That would explain the RPM being at 2500 at 55 mph. You've got a strictly drag set-up. There isn't much for street ability there, not daily driver anyway. If you had a 3.73 it would drop that cruising RPM a little, but it still isn't going to be what a 4 speed would be. just drive it on weekends and at the track and you won't be hurting too much.....

No I'm sorry I whent from 410 to 323... When I had the 410's and I was cruzing at 2400 rpm and let off the gas it would stay ther then slowly drop... But now with the setup I told yall about above I will be cruising at 2400 rpm's and when I let off the gas it will drop 400 rpm's then slowly go down from their so I was thinking it was somthing with my converter... Sorry for the spelling I'm on my cell phone trying to update this lol thanks for the help

Looks like you are sacrificing performance for comfort. There is always a fine line between those two items. If anything you probably should've gone with a 3.42 instead of a 3.23.
You can run your engine to whatever speed you want. It's just a simple fact that the higher the engine is revved for a given amount of time the faster parts are going to wear.
