what are the effects of getting larger injectors?
I have a rebuilt cc503, LT Pacesetters and stock injectors that are needing replacing..
i took a look at JEGS and all i saw were injectors with higher ratings

What makes you think your stock injectors need to be replaced? For a mild cam-only application, the stock injectors will work fine.

If you replace them with a higher # injector, the PCM must be reprogrammed to accommodate for the additional flow capacity.

Just have the injectors cleaned. No need to replace them. Especially with bigger ones unless you are maxing them out. As stated above, make sure the PCM is programmed for the bigger injectors.

Stock 24 lb'ers will get you to about 400 rwhp in an M6 car. You'll be running at/near 100% duty cycle which is not a concern for short duration like at the strip. If you're going to road race at that power level or you like to flaunt your odds on the road, then you'd want more injector.

just buy some stock 24lb injectors. no need to go bigger for what you have. you would just be wasting gas

If you decide you need some other (I won't say "NEW") stockers, then LMK / PM me.

I've got a set that I just pulled (that you can have cheap) and replaced with 39 lb units - but I had to, as I added an STS kit and I'm pushing about 11 lbs of boost!

Okay well me and dad can up with something quite clever...
this could get confusing!
So i put a piece of reflective tape on the power steering pump and got some sort of a RPM reader that my dad has. What i did was get the idle speed from the RPM reader and then pulled of number 1 injector..i recorded the difference.

Strange thing is, injector 3 and 5 made hardly any difference!!!!!

what should i think?!

plus, why does jegs only sell injectors in set of 6 for 24lbs?!!?!
everything else sold in sets of 8 are about 24lbs?
is a 26lbs still gonna mess things up?
this doesnt make since at all!

Don't buy new injectors. Have yours cleaned. There's nothing that can really "go bad" in an injector. Mine have 160k miles on them and are fine.

FIC INJECTORS^^^ Are you talking about blue-printing and ensuring even flow among all the injectors or just simply cleaning them??

OP sent you a PM
