Default Lt1 header installation problems

I just purchased pacesetter longtubes and ran into some problems. Once I started to loosen the exhaust manifold bolts I had some that started to turn really slow and seemed like they could break. Any suggestions on how to get the bolts out. Or should I just not put the headers on. I have talked to a local shop and they recommend not doing the headers anymore. Please help.

They soaked overnight and then I soaked them right before I tried again, no luck again. I am just worried about breaking a bolt, since there is no room to tap the bolt out.

It's not that the bolts are tight, it's how they turn when i first get them to break free. It feels like they are about to break.

If you don't have the money to pull the heads if one breaks than leave them alone.

I just don't have the time to pull the heads right now if that were to happen. I guess I should just leave them alone for now.

Just soak them again overnight...run the car and get some heat, and then shoot em again with PB. Just go slow and be careful and see how it feels. Rotate around to other bolts or wait a bit in between trying to let it "cool" if it is getting hot/turning hard to try and avoid breaking it. You should be able to get a feel for it after a turn or two on the bolt if it going to break or not.

Try working them back and forth (tighten a bit, loosen a bit) with LOTS of PB.

I did the pb blaster two different nights and tried tighten and loosen. I just got that bad feeling when the bolts starts to twist. I will just wait until I replace the heads and cam. Thanks for all the advice.

I went ahead and put on a magnaflow catback in the meantime, but it still sucks. Hopefully I can get the head and cam done this coming spring.
