Default msd 6al w/ timing controller

I will be installing my MSD 6al and adjustable timing controller with the msd in the morning. my question is. has the MSD distributor on it already.

When i install the timing controller set at 0, does that have my timing at what the MSD distributor and PCM was set at when the car was tuned on the dyno ffor my NA tune??? If not how can i check or where does it need to be set for the NA tune on the timing controller? Thanks

0 on the controller and 0 on the distributor will yield whatever timing is in the PCM...

If you have a N/A tune then you would set the timing controller to the negative (ex: -4) for nitrous, boost, etc.

Couldnt answer your question on the MSD, I havent used one.

If you can only advance w the msd box I would get a nitrous tune (assuming your gonna spray?) In the pcm and add the timing that is being pulled when on motor.

Kind of a hassle that way, my Mallory does it automatically.

One reason I will never use an MSD if I can get away with it. You need 5 boxes to do what my 1 will.
