Going to Test n Tune saturday.... gonna make another run at the record..
Since california tracks are still open every weekend for TNT we're going out this weekend with alot of nitrous and hopefully the weather and track cooperate.... We've been making improvements every time out gradually creeping up on our tune. Fastest so far is 9.06 on a full pass however car went faster in the 1/8th mile on the pass prior to that but I had to shutdown.... 1/8th mile converted to 8.98 if I was lucky enough to finish the pass..
So this weekend we've adjusted the chassis for some better launches raising the wheelie bars and tightening the limiters.... I think it's got a 8.90 in it..... 8.8 with a 20 mph tailwind....
Also on that note if this weekend goes well i plan on testing the waters on selling this motor turnkey throttle body to oil pan..... drop it into your 3400lb F-body and run low 10's NA or low 9's high 8's on spray. I will include all tuneups and datalogs along with car.... Professionally build CSMRE 383 ci LT1, half filled, splayed 4 bolt mains, Lunati crank, oliver rods, JE custom gas ported nitrous pistons, AFR 227's CNC ported then finished by hand, Victor E setup for fuel injection, Accufab throttle body, Comp solid roller (specs to buyer), Jesel shaft rockers, spring upgrade and titanium retainers and upgraded seats. Rods have L19 bolt upgrade. 83 lb injectors, crank trigger and low profile dist, Sheetmetal valvecovers, electric WP...... this motor would cost roughly 15-17K to duplicate.
I want 10K for this motor so I can go another direction with my program.... I'm looking into a procharged BBC or big cubic inch SBC with an F2R.... I don't need to sell it but i'm seeing how much the market will allow for a proven turnkey 1000hp LT1..... So 10 large will give you the ability to play at the LTx shootout with the Taner's, Mike Jakes, and Tony Shepherd's of the world.... Get your car down to 3000 lbs and run 8.60's all day and **** on everyone....
