Thinking of a new build
What I have in mind is a full forged rotating assembly 383ci, with AI ported 215cc TFS heads along with a custom cam to work with them, everything else I can transfer from my current engine.
I was thinking forged SRP pistons, but what rods and crank are best to go with?
What kind of hp figures am I looking at making?
RWHP is highly dependant on the transmission but that should be solid 10's N/A combo with all the other requisite parts and tuning.
I would love to carb the motor and get a TH350 or TH400 too.
I checked out SCAT kits on Summit at 1900 and include the flywheel and ARP rod bolts.
Any of the guys have experience with SCAT?

depending on cam selection i'd say you'd be looking at 425-430 RWHP easy with a T56 and probably 400-410 thru an auto.... if you go TH400 you'd lose more RWHP but the car would be a monster at the track and on the street....

I was also considering going solid roller with AFR 227s and Jesel shaft rockers. More costly, but hell what a set up it would be!
Is SCAT not reliable enough?
