motor suggestions well im looking to replace the heads on my camaro, i have a forged 383, and a comp cam 306, and i want to run a decent shot of nitrous, 150-200 range, any suggestion on head size?
Whats the deck clearance on your shortblock? Ideally the pistons are about .010 in the hole, and using the .026" headgasket (production part for iron head LT1's), you'd have a nice tight quench, and in turn could run about a 12:1 CR, which that CC306 cam is going to want. If you don't have a good tight quench, then shoot for something closer to 11:1 CR. Pick chamber size accordingly. As for runner size, I wouldn't even worry about it. What it is, it is. Get a set of good ported stockers from a reputable source like AI or LE, them having your setup info of course, and you'll be happy.
Yeah I was gonna say AI or LE for ported stockes... If you wanted to get more exotic a set of new AFR eliminator castings would fit REAL nicely for not that much more cash.... super thick deck and great flow are gonna help that 200 shot along nicely....
Personally i'd go with the AFR's. It's ultimately a better casting and gives you more room to grow. The ported stockers are great don't get me wrong but you can outgrow them. A stock port can only be made so large....
set of AFR 210's out the box would work for ya.... and i believe Tony Mamo posts here on this site so talk to him and see what he has to say. He's the senior R&D and tech guy IIRC...

great to hear, theres a guy on here selling LE2 heads shipped for 1100, im really thinking about those, but my budget is on the limited side

afr 210 heads they have some miles on them and are a few years old but the springs were replaced not to long ago the heads were lightly surfaced to make sure they were true and vacuum tested to make sure the valves were all seated asking $1,300
and
LE2 heads w/ new pac 1518 springs....1100 obo
unless anyone found better heads for close to the price

A set of LE2 will work well and the price is pretty good.
A set of LE-ported Darts or TFS would give you even more if you wanted it, but expect to spend an extra $700-900.
I don't have much experience with AFR's products, but they do have a history and a decent
