Need some help/suggestions
Need some help/suggestions Getting ready to replace my EWP and Opti along with some other small items. My questions are, I can't seem to find the OEM Opti from the Partsladi. Anyone have a link for it? Secondly, which valve cover gaskets are you guys having good luck with? I bought some Fel-Pros and they won't seal worth a damn. Lastly, are there any new latest and greatest spark plugs to go with?

You have to seat them correctly, there is a grove which is supposed to seat on the valvetrain walls of the heads (at least the ones I have do). They can slip out of place when you try to turn the valve covers over to seat them.
Try a very light dab of RTV on the valve cover itself to hold them in place perhaps? I did that and they sealed perfectly.

I run autolite 104 plugs
Oriellys has some nice VC gaskets that stick/seal like a ****, litteraly I had to pry them off after 100 miles or so. Or just get GM Gaskets. I clean the VC, gasket and lip of the head with acetone b4 installing them. Never have a problem with them leaking.
I bought my Opti from Larry @ Speedinc. Dont remember how much it was but Im sure he will hook you up.

rtv may be the problem. I use some permatex hi-tack on the gaskets so they dont move then since em down.
