TPIS Mini Ram I have yet to be able to verify this, but according to their add in CarCraft......TPIS is now making the MiniRam a bolt on affair for the LT1/4.......I'm actually kinda interested in this only because I know of a 406 that picked up Hp from a modded LT1 intake to the MiniRam. Granted this was on a Dart Pro1 headed engine in a 92 Z. So the LT1 was modded to work with the Gen 1 engine. So now there may actually be an option as to swapping to a single plane manifold....I'm kinda excited.....I'm sure no one else will care......

Out of curiosity will that crank reluctor work with a gear drive under a stock cover? I'm wondering because if I build a solid roller motor I have to get rid of the knock sensor anyway, why not put a gear drive in for fun? I know maybe not the best reason to put a gear drive in, but I kinda like the whine.....plus if I run a solid roller I cant use the knock sensor so why not go all out? just curious.
I had the mini-ram on 2 of my TPI motors and they were awesome,similar to the superram but waaaaay less bolts
,light years ahead of ANY TPI upgrade.
The only thing about the TPIS intake was the overall price w/fuel rails!

Best thing is, as I understand it, they out flow the LT1/4 intakes. At that point we now have another option to just going to a single plane. I kinda like the look of the LT motors, that includes the intakes.....

Try this one for size. you are negotiating a race,hoods are popped they see a converted carb intake they make any car look like a 9 sec ride so you will get no love!
If you don't care or pop your hood it will make NO difference. I prefer the "Stock Appearence" look

my buddy just had his 383 LT4 put together at TPIS in minneasotta at their shop, from what I hear, they have a VERY nice shop. They assembled his motor for him and engine dynoed it with his Edelbrock intake and 58mm Holley Throttle body it made 529HP.
They removed his intake and throttle body and put on their TPIS miniram intake and one of their TB's and it knocked it up to 555HP.
So yes, I would assume they flow better! haha

I guess that I'll just have to measure the gear drive's "drive" gear in relation to a double roller or single roller for that matter and go from there. I'm assuming it isn't much different width wise to a double roller otherwise they'd have clearance issues with normal timing covers on a traditional SBC......

I did not flow test one personally, but I saw the results of someone that did over on chevelles.com. The miniram did 275cfm at 28in. That is pretty good. This was the standard miniram. I am not sure if the LT version is a lot different.
Mine seems to make plenty of torque down low, but it takes a lot of timing aadvance to get there.

0.525" is stock sprocket thickness (and some cheap double row)
0.550" is heavy duty double row thickness
It is suppoed to flow over 300cfm (fabricaters does) and its only supporting a 383 right now. Supposed to live up to 6500+rpm. Nothing is port matched but when I get new heads it will be to some AFR 210s. THis is on a GEN 1 not an LT1 but the company is supposed to be producing LT1 stuff now. And its NOT cheap. $1400 not cheap.
what ever happened to that guy whoses username was GPC or GPPC? somin like that who was converting HSR's for LT1's and had like 4 different configurations to choose from?? I know he got baned here for some reason but what about his intakes? they looked pretty promising, any one ever try one? any one know if hes even still doing it?
