Default My PS LTs are going in have a few ?

well im working on putting my ps lts in, but i have a few questions before i get to far. First, do i dare use the gaskets that came with the headers? I keep hearing the horror stories of people that use them and how they go bad quick. If i shouldn't use them what ones should i get?

My second question is what catback should i go with? im leaning towards the lm1 or 2 but i know people say they get nasty with headers, my setup also has and ORY so theres no cat. Borla and gmmg are to expenisive im looking for something cheaper. i thoguht i read somewhere that a dynomouth sounds good with this setup, don't really remember how to make it though its a lm with a dyno something muffler i think. Any advice will help!

Thanks!

OK bro heres the skinny on the headers:
Do not use the supplied gaskets, spend 35.00 on the copper gaskets, stage 8 makes very nice locking bolts or you can instal headers with hex heads(allen head bolts) they are a PITA but i have yet needed to retighten them in 2 years....
Now as for the catback if money is tight search for a good used magnaflow or purchase the universal dual kit from JEGS many have done this you have a few choices in mufflers, sweet thunders, dynomax bullets etc.....you will save a bunch going this route and if it is too loud you can always add tail pipes..
I will not attempt to say what mufflers are better but i have 1 ch flomasters under my car out back near the well along with tail pipes the sound is great not obnoxious at all i am 40 now so **** begins to annoy me easily but the sound of a clean exhaust note is ****!

Thanks for your input, after searching some i see a lot of people said to just order gm stock gaskets so thats what i ordered. To bad you didn't post a bit sooner haha. oh well i guess if for any reason they don't hold up i will just replace them. Not a big deal but would rather do it right the first time. I was just going to use the stock bolts i think. i know i got some with my Pace setters but i see a lot of people say use the stock ones so i think i will stick with them.

if the stock bolts are hard to come out, i would go with the ones that come with the headers for now until you decide to change

First of you want to ditch the supplied gaskets for Mr Gasket Copper Gaskets and upgrade the header bolts to ARP or the stage 8 locking bolts. You will also want to make sure you have o2 sensor extensions or your or you'll be cuttng and splicing them to fit up.

Also save yourself a bunch of headaches and go ahead and spend the ~$100 on OTVC plugs wires...otherwise you better spend a good amount of time routing the wires so that they don't touch the headers at any point.

i orderd the stock gaskets from gm direct parts. are these gaskets ok? turns out you can't cancel your order on that site which sucks, but i might just go to a local parts store and try to find the copper gaskets.

I was going to try and use the stock wires and just a lot of zip ties probably. From reading other peoples stories they seem to be ok.

I need to order the 02 extenders yet, but im waiting on them because im not sure of the length.

Its a 94 but im assuming its the same. I'll probably just measure it when i get the headers on and the o2s in stalled again.

My LT PaceSetters came with the o2 extension wires and I would highly recommend getting the Mr Gasket Cooper gaskets!
