ok put new taylor wires on and new ngk plugs and new o2 sensors since all of them needed to be replaced anyways but....still having a misfire. While driving i had it read the misfire code and it said cylinder 8 but when i parked it in the driveway and sat there it changed to 0300 which is random cylinder misfire....will check the coil for continuity test. is there any way to test the icm? looks like i might be getting a new opti....

Some assinine questions --
Are you positive you hooked up the wires correctly from the opti?
My first time swapping plug wires following the hayne's manual, it was backwards. There are numbers on the opti to the corresponding cylinder.
With the wide range of resistance your plug wires came up with, were any of them burnt/cracked?
Have you resolved or made sure the new plugs were installed properly and haven't been burned/cut?

i didnt notice any cracking except in the boot of one of them but i think that was from me taking it off and on one of the wires i remember seeing a lil bit of white on the outside of the insulation from where it was near a header but i went from otvc to stock route so none are near the headers now.

ok so its a cylinder 8 misfire i can tell from the code and because it sounds just like one cylinder is not firing so im gonna swap the 6 and 8 cylinder plug to check and see if i have a bad plug and double check and make sure the wires are clicked all the way in the opti..also i noticed the small loom running along the passenger side shock tower was burnt into...not the large one but the smaller one and it looks like it just goes to a 4 wire connector. does anyone know what the loom is for?
