The only problem I ever had on mine was the slip fit on the driver side for it to clear the steering knuckle, and the knuckle safety catch rubbing on the 3rd primary. Bent in the safety catches about 1/2", and used some copper sealant on the slip-fit to cure that leak. Don't forget to tighten down your bolts or get lockers.. do it 1k miles later and forget it (wish I had and so did the cars next owner). I can't comment on the install as my engine was out anyway *shrug* this was on a 94 Z28.

I had no issues with mine, we've installed them twice. I used Felpro 1406 Header Gaskets, they seem to work well. Mine cleared both times with out any issues, the second install was pretty easy since we had done it before, unbolt the motor from its mounts, jack it up as high as it'll go and install them from the bottom.

I love my hooker LT's.. aside from when I pulled the motor from the car, I've never put gaskets on the car in almost 5 years since I installed them.

fitment was great, and I've yet to have a problem with the slip-fit on the #1 primary leak.

the only thing I dont like is the 3-bolt flange at the collectors. they never did really seal up "perfect" and they're a pain in the *** to tighten up.

oh yeah, and my y-pipe seemed like it was about 1" too far apart for the collectors. took a little "persuasion" when bolting on the y-pipe to the collectors

Same here; I cut mine off and used 3" wide band clamps instead.
Also welded my slip-fit.

I like everything about my SuperCompLTs especially the fitment-- with the exception of that stupid #1 slip fit primary.

Even with the ultra copper sealer on it, it has a very small leak.

Depending on how good your tune is, you'll probably gain around 30-35hp with LTs and true-duals.

At least a mail-order tune.
The last thing you need is to be running lean at WOT.

Ed's been tuning my cars for many years.
No matter how how odd the setup, he's got it right every time.
Nice guy, very sharp and he has more technical resources at his disposal than any tuner I know.

Ed also has a very dry sense of humor and a nack of being brutally honest.
We get along great

He's not the cheapest out there, and there's a very good reason for that.
