B&M sux.. all it is , its a bunch of spacers that deletes the 1-2 acc. and 3-4 acc.. A transgo kit is much more decent, and shifts real firm.. I would go with trans gos

Yes, they do shift harder but are HARDER on the trans. Like stated above they just stop movement of the accumulators basically. The Transgo Shifts fast and firmer IMO.

I ran a B&M transpak and broke several sprags in the trans, Switched to a transgo and fixed that problem.

When I first stalled my car a couple years back I did alot of research and the TransGo HD kit seemed to be much better. I ran the HD kit for a while and it ultimately was part of the reason that the trans went but with a converter it's almost mandatory since the shifts get loose with a large stall converter. BTW, the TransGo can be set up with three separate shift firmness settings. I wouldn't even recommend running the harshest if the car is a DD. My current trans is built and it utilizes a custom shift kit that about snaps my neck when it shifts into second.

I wouldnt put a shift kit in a 4l60e. If you want firmer shifts just turn the force motor up. Or you can make it shift harder in the computer by tuning the line pressure and shift timing. I have a CPT trans in my car and it has no shift kit and shifts real hard.

I had the HD2 and it was pretty nice. Had a custom shift kit made by my tranny guy when I did a full re-build and it is simply bad ***. Out of the two go with the Transgo.

First stop calling Summit for tech advise.

Second Transgo is almost almost the exclusinve choice of all the reputable 4L60E builders. Not only is it a shift kit but corrects some factory flaws. Most shops building trannies for normal DD cars use Transo "fix it" kits just to correct the factory flaws that caused the failure.

but you are using only pressure for hard shifts... What a shift kit does is increase volume and pressure accordingly.. I think any tranny buikder would disagree with you
