Default 97 z wouldn`t start

got a 97 z i`m working on for a friend his son was driving it and parked it couple days later he went to drive it wouldn`t start. he said the gas hand was on "E" put some gas in still woundn`t start. we sprayed ether in the TB it would run for a few seconds. check the fuel pressure wouldn`t even move the gauge. i`ve always believed in look at the small stuff 1`st, replaced the fuel filter nothing. can`t hear the pump in the tank but i know sometimes they are quite, fuse`s are good i`m think it`s the pump what do you think.

Is the security light on?? Try another key if you have one. The Vats might be kicking in. But also how much gas to you add?

when you turn the key from off to the on position, you should hear the fuel pump run. The fuel pump has a second or so prime to build up pressure before the car is started. if you do not hear the fuel pump run when you do that... then you found your problem
