yep I have only heard of stories like this but never seen it. I have even heard of **** like flywheels or other tranny parts flying out in the staging lanes and/or bleachers and killing people.

Thats why you should never skimp out on a scatter shield or just a real bellhousing rather than this china made aluminum for transmissions we have now a days,lol

You guys are very lucky to have avoided injury. That said, this video dould be testiment to all the hi hp guy's, and even guy's who's cars hook very well. NHRA rules and regs are there for the sole purpose of safety. The bell housing is a very overlooked mod cause it has no 'bling" value. I dont know about you guy's but my feet are priceless!

Apparently he is a moron that doesn't know how to properly do a burnout with a manual. Then you see the dumbass's standing around knowing his clutch is what's smoking. Do they have him stop, not because they think its amusing.
There's another video of a ZO6 frying the clutch instead of tires. But the camera guy walks in front of the vette while the clutch is smoking. warranty fixed the vette. Maybe GM needs to see some of the videos floating around before warranty work is approved.
All future Darwin Awards candidates IMO.
