again not lost. the LS1 design was used for the rest of the LS engines. hmm. find that funny how i put that in the post above you? thanks. but anyway since you know so much LS stuff, what is the LS6 in now?

the LT was used for the LT1 andLT4.....the LT4 had an even shorter life span. Please feel free to correct me with more math and denial.

Yes the all knowing LSX guys, What the DS doesnt know is that IF i wanted ANOTHER Ls car i would just go buy one. I could be putting a LS1 in my car now for less money than i have spent building my 355 with a L.E. 2 package and all supporting mods. YES some of us like the LT1 just because we can. The last LS car i had was a 99 SS and guess what I like my 94 more than that one. You see when you get to my age (36) if your as lucky or as smart you can pick and choose what you buy. I choose to have a 94 LT1 OBD1 car ! How you like that

I DID buy my car because it was cheaper than a comparable LS car. . . That being said, now that i have had it and drive the hell out out of it, i wouldnt trade it for either of my buddies LS cars. Yes, they ARE faster, they ARE newer, and they ARE nicer. . . . but mine is MY car. . . and LT1s ARE NOT crap!

You are trying to compare apples to oranges. You like what you like, but there is no need to dis something just because you need to represent in your sub forum. You cannot deny facts.

And being 36 and making this choice and trying to justify it somehow says one thing. When you are destined to be a mullet, there is no denying your destiny.

Thesis ==> Antithesis ==> Synthesis

What about using polymer and plastics technologies to make LTx intakes that fit in the shape / space of the aluminum ones and utilize different passages & surfaces. Rough where you need it for atomization, smooth where you need it for gas velocity, plus it's not metal so it's less prone to heat soak...

Anybody ever seen a traditional shape "plastic" LTx intake? You could make 'em out of ashtray plastic!!!

I've had few chances to buy LS1 fbody but choice not too. I think the LT1's are way funner because the low end torque and LT1 firing order sounds nicer.

Also want to say most aftermarket is aimed at LS1's they just have all the better part options. If they spent more time researching and making LT1 products i think they both would be equally powerful.

Fact is nobody wants to spend money to make a LT1 plastic intake.

Hell, these days it's getting easier to stuff like that for giggles. Do an MRI or CAT scan of a piece of metal and you can literall 'print' it in 3D out of plastic. No ****, no joke. Rapid protyping, I think is the term for it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_printing

Could you imagine blocks made of really light, strong heat-tolerant plastics? Talk about weight loss...

i like how he says this just a couple posts away from completely bashing the lt1...................... in the lt1 section.

why are you posting in here again? i dont like mustangs but i dont go on their websites bashing them so why are you in the lt1 section bashing lt1s?

yes when similarly modded, ls1 produces more power.
yes the aftermarket is bigger
and yes both motors have their own short commings

ls1 guys hate it when they get beat by an lt1 and thats why i drive my lt1

p.s. the ls1 intake sux nuts. why do you think it is replaced so fast by a better one?

also i am guessing that the money that it would take to Rapid Prototype a plastic intake. One could just build a single plane intake that is better.

That is a fact..just the way it is.

The stock LT1 Intake in it's form is pretty decent..the only thing the Plastic would over-come is the heatsoak.

Yes it does..the Intake I have will walk all over that piece..lol

The LS6 Intake is where it's at.

The ls1 intake fits right in there, you just have to remember to use metric bolts not standard. Your gunna need a tune afterward.

Man, those LS guys sure have some nerve huh? Oh well, lets all just do what The Merv did, pop in a plastic intake with the rest of the stuff, then maybe they'll stop their targeted hatin. hehe.
