My friend wants to sell his msd ignition box, and was wondering if i should buy it. I don't know much about them other then it makes your plugs spark faster? He said he would sell it for $75. Just wondering if that is somthing that could help for power or not, my mods are listed in sig and my car is a dd and also a street fighter

for 75 bucks do it, if it has the harness and u can get a coil to go with it, it does help. esp sense u already have the dist. thats a great deal

the 6al which is what i have will produce a higher volt multiple sparke opposed to the stock single spark, the coil ups the volts as well. more volts hotter spark more fuel burnt more power. Also has a pill style rev limiter i have a 6600 limiter pill bc thats what my computer is set at but itll cut spark at that rpm to prevent blowing holes where they dont need to be lol. but get both the box, and coil, and harness for the lt1 and for 75 bucks for the box is great, they got for over 100 easy on here i paid 125. looking at ur mods id also put ur tune back to stock and send it to either pcm4less or madtuner and get a mail order tune, itll help ALOT w ur TB and exhaust upgrade, as well as the stall and what not. the hypertech just dont cut it.

hey i'm glad you brought that up, i am planning on get a tune from madZ28 and was wondering if i had to put everything back to stock before i sent it in

yes thatll be required, plus itll aid in selling the hypertech unit, u cant sell it w the tune still on ur car. Go back to stock and send it in ive had 2 tunes from madtuner and love it. he does a great job. just be sure to be very detailed in filling out the order sheet. esp with your mods, no offense being kinda cobbled together. but i think youll find a HUGE increase just from the tune w ur stall/intake/exhaust mods.

6AL about $300 , so i'd buy it,

6 about $150 so maybe ,

haha, remember like i said, get the coil to go along with it and make sure he has the lt1 harness, and get ur **** tuned!

Im running MSD6AL, you wont notice too much difference but it will help once your heavily modified.

I got my 6AL brand new 8 years ago for $200, and it still works great. Like said get the harness kit then you wont have to splice factory harness.

granted 2300 aint that big, but better than stock, time for a new cam and a 3k plus stall!

no worrys....few months i'll have myself a Yank Stealth 3000 Puts a grin on my face every time i think about it. Or is it worth the extra $200 to get the Yank Super Stock 3200?

I know, buying the same part twice sucks is 3600 to big with out H/C...sooner or later i will get H/C but it will be a while before i get the money for it...So i don't want to go to big on the stall because i heard you'll lose power...So whats to big of a stall with no H/C?

I would not recommend anything less then the 3600 especially with going H/C later. The biggest mistake most make is too small of a TC.

The SS drives very nice even as a DD IMO. The converter will just hit harder ( flash ) as you make more power, but there is not a loss of power in anyway.

The only loss with be traction unless you have a good drag radial
