Question watcha think of this idea?

i have a set of 1.52 and 1.6 pro magnums.. my cam going in is the XFI 292, i have beehives and shims also.

i was thinking to maybe control the cam a lil better use 1.52's on the intake lift side, and 1.6's on the exhaust side.

and maybe step up the exjaust valve from 1.60 to a 1.625, of something similar?

Install the 918s at 1.74 and you'll be fine with 1.6s

^is it gonna be worth the hassle to tear it apart twice or maybe a 3rd time? Idk if your doing it yourself but I'd just go 1.6rr's and call it a day.

What do you have for heads??? Usually the staggered rockers are used to make up for a slacking exhaust port flow. Since the stock LTx heads (and therefore ported ones) don't have horrible exhaust port flow, you probably won't see a gain. But if you're like me, I'd do a dyno run with the 1.52's, the staggered set, then a full set of 1.6's. Figure three dyno pulls and what maybe an hours worth of work. I think it'd be great to see hard numbers out of it

Guy's are throwing the 918 beehives in at 1.80 and expecting them to handle those aggresive XFI lobes... I'm running 1518s at 1.74 with solid roller lobes and 1.6s... no float here. No reason to run the 1.5 rockers, the 918s with have enough pressure over the nose to control the valvetrain with the 1.6s. I wouldn't really expect the 918s to have a super long live with those lobes regardless of the rocker ratio. the 1518s would be good for probably double the life.
