Bare unprotected aluminum is highly corrosive in salt water applications. LT1 heads would have to be hard anodized to survive. The cast iron Caprice heads would be a better choice. Maybe you could have suggested that?

Good point. Doesnt matter though, this guy is WAY out in left field.. almost as bad a 1 craz28

MasterCraft boats use the lt1 with al heads( I don't know if there were hard anodized ) but with a northstar ignition. The opti would make those boat owners pissed! You should hear them complain about the fuel pump in the fuel injected boats.
