LT1 : Grinding the Corvette composite valve covers to make them fit ?

They fit fine, if you look at pictures from the early 1993 Trans Am press fleet mules, many of them were sporting the composite Corette covers. Those covers came out in 1993 and were standard on all Corvettes, while our cars got the stamped steel valve covers. Also some of the very early 93s can even be seen with the previous aluminum 1992 LT1 Valve covers.

Bringing this back from the dead- how's the fitment to aftermarket heads. I have issues with RHS Vortec's shifting the cover approx 1/4in towards the intake, another guy with Twisted Wedge shifted the other way???
