We ground his steering shaft maybe 1/16" or so in a few spots but had no problems getting them on.

they look real nice but now get ready to send one back. Your left side header has the bung welded verticly vs. horizontaly. I had the same issue when I purchased LLP's ls1 headers.

when i installed my LPPs the collector seemed to be angled out toward the drivers side door, anyone elses like this.....and ground + steering shaft clearance sucked......but as for the metal, i live in CT with all the salt on the roads and ****, the headers have no issues with discoloring or any sort

They are designed like that. It's not a defect. The O2 bungs on Kooks have the same orientation.

Yes in regards to the collectors, do they end in the same place pacesetters would? I currently have pacesetters and have a custom 3" to 4" exhaust that had already cost me around $550 to have built. If someday I went to these headers I wouldn't want to have to modify something that already fits my current headers.

I ordered mine on thursday evening and I should be getting them here hopefully soon... I also talked to Carl on the phone for about 30 min. I think thats the coolest thing with these CEO take time to talk to customers. Matt from GMMG also was a owner who will speak personally to his customer... Sorry about the rant... I just cant wait for my box to get here and get these installed with my spec 2+ clutch, al flywheel, and subframe connectors. I cant believe that your box came in only two day..

Hey:

My Kooks Stepped headers needed the same clearencing and installation preparations that My 1st batch LPPs did, The only thing is that Kooks included that info in the Installation paper as they are aware that not all Fbodys were created the same. LPP was not aware of this as they fit fine on the protypes and his own car. When installing the 1st batch the steering linkage has to be slotted at the firewall and a remote fiter kit installed or removal of the oil cooler and oil level sensor from the pan may be needed.
Also to make sure you don't have problems on body clearence Install new Poly Motor Mounts during the beginning of the install. I had no issues with the 1st batch LPP headers and they fit and tuck up very well, but I had already made the needed changes for my Kooks.
