Yea I remember that little thing..I clipped it.

 

I cut it too. Just making sure I didn't mess anything up.

 

So its important for there to be a gap from the heater core to the blower motor, right?

I cut out a little portion, and bent some sheet metal into place. Then I took a bunch of sound mat (with the tar on the back) to seal up any holes. I'll post a pic and you guys can tell me if it will work or not.

 

Yea you need a gap there..
