Im recently started my a/c delete project and kept the heater.. Here is what it looks like so far.. Thanks to The Merv for some info!! But have to get the interior back in still and try it out.. Also removed the passenger air bag and bracket while I was at it..

So I assume that you just cut out the a/c box from inside the engine bay?

Dremel worked fine..just took a few minutes. Just get in there and cut pretty much.

Eventually I'm going to re-design the Heater Box though..I don't have the flow like I used to..I have alot of holes that the Blower Motor blows air through..you will see what I mean when you get in there and start cuttin into it.

this is kinda scary because i was using your old post as my guidance. what would you have done differently? i have the inside of the box cut already for the air passage and the plate made up. all i have left is to cover the hole in the box with tin and bolt on the plate. any info would be great, i really don't want to do this twice

The part with the Hole that I covered up with the Tin..mine has alot of gaps..I may fiberglass it and make it air-tight all the way to the Heater Core. It will definately help.

I actually took the dash out and took the heater and all out, cut it outside the car and put it back in.. Not saying it was the easiest way to go, but I wanted to ditch the airbags and stuff while the dash was out anyways..

Here is a pic on how I did mine. I flushed the box to the firewall. Then made a sheet metal panel with a opening in it to allow airflow to cross from one side to the other.

It was attached with urethane seam sealer and sheet metal screws. No air leaks.

Sorry for the bad pic.

It blows the same as it did stock. I did it this way since I just didn't feel like pulling the dash.

It's been so long since I did this. I remember a wire (not the vacuum line) that went to the A/C Evaporator. I think it was a temperature sensor. What did you guys do with it?
