Did any of the LT1's come with dished pistons or are they all flat tops with the 4 v relief? Wondering, too, if they have a piston with 2 v relief and, if so, how much difference it would make?

 

they came with flat top with 4 valve relief. with 2 valve relief it wont do much as far as bumping up compression. they should work tho

 

Thanks, sox! A guy was telling me that he put a cam and pistons only in his LT1 and it made a huge difference. I was scratching my head on the new pistons. Apparently the cam was good because I don't know of any other pistons alone that would be much better. Thought maybe I was wrong....guess not. Thanks again.

 

LOL at his friend. Pistons by themselves don't make any substantial amount of power. Maybe he did a rebuild at the time...
