i have a 96 z28. i noticed that my power steering pump was shaking while the engine is running. so i tried to tighten the pump mounting bolts and they are both stripped out.not the bolt but the aluminum in the accessory bracket is stripped.is there anyway to fix this?

10239875 is the part number for the bracket if you don't want to tap it, or if you can't find a used bracket.

You need a line wrench. Using an open-ended wrench is a good way to strip it.

I usually loosen the pump from the bracket before removing the line usually. Give a little more room, but yes, it is extremely gay.

We used a bolt that was a little longer but the same size diameter in one and it caught some back threads I guess worked good!
