Default oil pan question
Does anyone know if the stock LT1 corvette oil pan will fit and clear the K member of the Fbody?

Does it look like this? If so it wont fit. This might be a file photo, as I have not been able to find any info indicating the oil pans between the vette LT1 and camaro are different. If this is a correct picture it would hit the stock k member. Hopefully someone can confirm this. Good luck.

Yea it looks like it but what part of it doesnt clear? It kinda looks like the fbody pan

The one that is depicted has a longer sump which would most likely not clear the stock k member. Here is the F-body pan. It is stepped at the sump.

That looks a little different from the F-body Pan..it's bigger toward the middle of it..I don't remember the Camaro Pan being like that.

Yeah if the sump is long and not stepped it might hit the stock k member. It would work if you had an aftermarket K.
