Longtube Headers hey guys i have a 1995 Lt1 with the t56 6speed manual. Its bone stock with the exception of a magnaflow muffler. Im looking to do longtube headers. I want to get headers that don't have the hook ups for egr/air. since the air and egr will be gone do i gota get the computer tuned or will the car run ok?? also since its an obd1 computer i think that means i only have 2 o2 sensors. after adding longtubes will the o2 sensors hook up ok? and last question, do i have to buy a new ypipe or will the stock ypipe work ok??

Heh, there is no way you can hook the stock Y pipe up to long tube headers so, yes you need a new one unless you are just going to run open headers all the time. A tune would help out but isn't absolutely necessary.
I would send off your pcm to pcm4less or madz28tuner for a PCM tune. I did mine at SpeedInc so that is always an option also.
You will need an ORY and I believe for you only 2 o2 sensors and they are pretty easy to hook up. Most places sell o2 extensions to help you out with that.
Might as well go with coated Pacesetters with ORY packages because those are what a lot of guys run

yeah the o2's will screw into the headers just fine. Your gonna need (2) flat o2 sensor wire extensions for them to plug into the harness. Since longtubes have the o2 located furthur way from the stock location

Go in the for sale section and find some used hooker or similar LT headers. Last season i picked mine up for $175. I drove the car all summer without a tune. Its not going to hurt anything, you just won't see quite as much power.
